Technical overview
V.90 protocol up to 56 Kbps is used when downloading information from Internet Service Providers. V.34 protocol up to 33.6 Kbps is used when uploading information. The 56K PCI Voice Modem requires a sound card in order to take advantage of current features such as speakerphone. The sound card will also be necessary to take advantage of features like video teleconferencing, whiteboarding, and document sharing.
